The wind pulled at my legs, dragging them towards the rear of the UH-60 Black Hawk as my teammates and I sat in the left side doorway awaiting our arrival a t this evening’s target. We had been standing by on red status in our hootches adjacent to the airfield when we got the alert to launch for a HVT (High Value Target) capture/kill. We received the mission, cobbled together an O PO RD and were on the birds within ten minutes.
